As many of you PS3 fans know, 7-Eleven stores across the country hosted a new Slurpee flavor in honor of God of War III. The promo itself was pretty cool - You can get earn some codes which give you exclusive downloadable content for the game when it releases. The Slurpee itself? Someone failed at the taste test department.

Eager to get in on the action, we decided to hike to the nearest 7-Eleven and get our hands on some savory Slurpees; However, when we arrived we were informed that they had just removed the Kratos flavor the day before! Which is odd because the promo was suppose to last til March after the game came out. So why was the flavor cut short? We chatted it up with Bob, our local 7-Eleven employee, who revealed the awful truth about the 'Wrath of Kratos' Slurpees. Apparently the Kratos Slurpee was the most unpopular flavor they had in a long time, and that he needed to remove it due to low sales. He goes on to rant how he lost business with the local college girls because they simply dislike the Slurpee. Even worse - Fanta Banana is more popular even. Yes, Fanta Banana.
Bob did point out that other stores might have kept the Kratos Slurpee around longer, so we trekked over to another 7-11 nearby. We were lucky this time. The flavor was still around, though unfortunately from the way the slush oozed out of the machine, you'd think that it was unused for sometime. The whole thing just bubbled out in an explosive mess.

After a couple sips, we looked at one another with equal disgust and agreed that this was probably the worst Slurpee we had ever tasted. The flavor is suppose to be an infusion of lime and blackberry, which looked deliciously purple on the sign, but ended up being a frothy brownish lavender concoction when we poured it. Disgusting, right? I never though Slurpees could expire. Apparently, I was wrong.
