So you consider yourself a videogame aficionado and love all geeky aspects of the culture. Your room or house looks similar to Steve Carrell’s apartment in the 40 Year Old Virgin and you can’t wait until the next Comic-Con to come around just so you could pick up all the goofy toys and trinkets you just can’t find on Wal-Mart shelves. If you thought you couldn’t be any more of a geek, well be prepared to add another notch to your geeky utility belt. Courtesy of the folks over at Nintendopapercrafts.com and various other contributors, you can now make your own paper crafts of your favorite Nintendo characters and consoles like Link, Mario, the Wii and some of the wacky folks that inhabit the towns in Animal Crossing. This is a cheap and super fun hobby that you can do in your free time and use these to decorate your house or even give them as little gifts to the gamer you love in your life. There are some wonderful paper crafts and it can be somewhat difficult to decide which one is the best. So instead of selecting just one, I have searched high and low for the best of the best and compiled a list of the top paper crafts.

Mr. Resetti you angry beast

Lyn from Fire Emblem

This gal needs no intro

Snake

Now this is just slick
Not to be out done by Nintendo fans, paper crafts artist from all over the gaming community have applied their skills to the art and created their favorite videogame characters.

Alice

You all know this dude
I saved the absolute best for last. Currently on display at the papercraftmuseum.com and gonintendo.com, creator master Haywan has managed to piece together one of the most impressive paper crafts I have come across some time last year. If you want a challenge then I suggest you download all the templates and give it a whack. Good luck with that though. Made from over two hundred pieces of paper and a lot of time and patience this piece stands over 5 feet tall.

Bad ass

Master Haywan’s art

Bet you wish you had one
The process is simple and here’s what you’ll need and have to do. Head over to the websites and print out your favorite paper template, you’ll need some scissors and glue, that’s it! Cut them out, fold where it is indicated, glue and you’re done. The websites also has characters from the Sega and Capcom universe such as Sonic and some Mega Man characters. Now set them up on display and watch your fellow gamer’s faces when they see your sweet character collection. I will also be trying to make one of these soon so check back to see how it went (I hope to do a really hard one).
Thanks for the site on the Nintendo paper crafts stuff. All those Nintendo characters looks awesome. Bowser, Samus, and Link are really cool looking.
Wow, super talented people! I love the detail on the final pictures of Link!
those are pretty sweet!
on of the things I loved about Killzone 2 was the in game intel you found that unlocked things on the killzone 2 website… some of the things it unlocked were paper crafts, though I never got around to making them…
wow………..super oragami. lol. I wish I had the patience to put some of this together.
absolutely ridiculous. I haven’t ever seen any papercraft of that quality.
Awesome! I love the Samus one.
haha are you freaking kidding me? Wow, just when i thought i’d seen it all. I wonder who first decided to do this and who actually took the time to hone this as a craft. Some of those are absolutely amazing. I like the Zelda and American McGee Alice ones the best. The Mario ones are really cute too though.
Master Chiefs gun must freakin impossible! Not to mention Link…
I could’ve sworn that last one with the life-sized Link was plastic or something.
A part of me is like, “Holy shit! This is awesome! Amazing what people can do!” And the other part of me is like, “Man, that’s some time investment…” Then again, what else was he gonna do with his time? Game? HA!
Wow, just wow. I can’t imagine the dedication needed to craft such art.
haha awesome, especially that Link and Samus wow! I remember going head to head with Mr. Resetti in Animal Crossing haha :)
Holy crap, those are amazing. I might give one a try just for the challenge of it.
This is far better than any other papercraft site I’ve been to. I made my decision as soon as I saw a BLITTY on the first page. Thank you VERY much!
I love to do papercraft even though i dont think ive ever finished any that ive started. stupid pets always chewing on it.
wow those are truly amazing! I wish i could learn to make some paper crafts like that! If I could I’d make a lifesize version of Clank lol
I love the resetti
I figured you were gearing up to post a blog when I saw all those cool pictures posted in your profile. :)
The life size Link is my absolute favorite. If only someone could do a life size Oni Link…..:D
Woah, It doesnt even look like theyre made out of paper.
Truly amazing!
What the heck. All of them after Mr. Resetti look beast. Must’ve taken long to make them.
Wow, I can’t imagine how much time and effort it takes to create something like this.
im really in disbelief about that link. the thing looks like it was taken straight from the video games! man I wish I had talent! the only thing I can do if get whooped so incredibly bad in fight games
Wow, those are really amazing. My favorites are Link, Alice, and Samus. I wish I knew how to do that…but then again I probably would get bored after an hour or two and never finish it.
wow all i can say is that these are quite epic. they look so awesome and great detail
Wow, that’s both super cool and super nerdy at the same time.
The Samus and Link ones are the best!! I can’t wait to check out the Mega Man ones :)
WOW that is some serious talent. Could turn that into a living.
I wonder how long it took to make that Link.
I wonder if there are any supports underneath. I think it would be very difficult for that paper to just stand on its own.
good job! Creative people who dedicate effort into game tributes rule! I wish I had that much time and materials on my hand…
Link and the Halo guy look extraordinarily great!
Dude! It’s Gregg!

Hmm… is there a reason why I cant find Mario and Luigi? I saw one set of the two of them, but it was a different design than the one in the blog’s picture.
And I thought the TF2 papercraft stuff I’ve seen online was great, this stuff is amazing.
Well, seeing as I haven’t been able to access the forums in a crazy ass long time, I’ll ask here. What in the hell is up with the forums??
Can ANYBODY shed some light?
