It's a real shame that so many games never get finished. I once read a stat once showing that only about 20-30% of all games ever get finished. Even in a relatively short game like Bioshock, which could be completed within 10 hours, the developers were thrilled that almost 50% of gamers actually reached the ending. Which is a shame, because so much effort from developers goes into creating a whole experience, and few people really get to enjoy the later levels and the full story. I can't imagine reading a book, or watching a movie and never getting to the end.

However as the gaming industry expands beyond the core gaming market, an interesting trend is now happening. More and more games are touting features that aid gamers in actually completing the full game. While it's

Following up on my initial impressions of the game, I have been consumed by Modern Warfare 2 for the last few days. It's taken me about five hours to beat the game's campaign mode. That's rather short, even for a FPS title these days. But one thing's for sure, the game never dragged on. There were no drawn out levels, or backtracking repetition found in such games like Metroid or Halo. The timing and pacing for everything spot on and every level will constantly have you guessing. Just when you think you'd seen it all, the game pumps out another "wow" moment. Even with its plot deficiencies as I previously noted, Modern Warfare 2 could very well be the best presented game ever made. It sets the

It's that same feeling all over again. When the first Modern Warfare game came out two years ago, I'd play with my wireless Dolby Digital headphones. The surround sound was surreal for a game like this, as I could hear bullets flying by my ears and hundreds of close encounter grenade explosions. The loud sounds were torture for my ears, if only for a few hours. My ears would be ringing like Quasimodo hit it.

After a few hours of playing Modern Warfare 2 tonight, I can safely say that the same feeling has indeed returned. Call of Duty is back for the holidays and lives up to all of the immense hype that is still reaching a boiling point. For those who don't realize it already, the game's quite short. Knowing this before starting my campaign, I took advantage of more exploration to get the

It's only a few more days until the most anticipated videogame of the year finally arrives on store shelves. Many gamers like me are scrambling to finish all of their games before the big launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 next Tuesday. To whet appetites even further for those who still can't wait for those few days, Infinity Ward has released an amazing launch trailer of the game that's quickly goes through some of the game's most intense sequences. The background music of Eminem and Nate Dogg doing a re-done "Till I Collapse" is just the cherry on top for another trailer for the game, certainly something that all gamers should never be tired of.[nextpage]

As promised during the Halo ODST launch, the Xbox Live hotspot, Halo Waypoint will be coming this November. For those of you who didn't know, it'll be a special channel for Xbox Live Gold members showcasing everything from podcasts, trailers, screenshots and more. Even with its plethora of extra content, the channel will also have a career system and player rankings tied to in-game and out-of-game achievements related to the Halo series. Summing up, this thing's going to be as robust as Bungie wants to make it. Check out the sneak-preview trailer that just came out today:

I'm sure a lot of people have already thought hard about the possibility of Halo Waypoint being a project in which Microsoft and Bungie wanted to give its fans as much fan-service as possible. But
