    Dolby has been revamping its entertainment portfolio as of late. After our recent visit to their offices, we've discovered that the company isn't just about audio innovations anymore. Dolby has gradually focused on 3D as of late and the results have been nothing short than impressive. From its beginnings with Beowulf in 2007 to enhancing the spectacular vision set for James Cameron's Avatar, Dolby 3D's technology is already starting to make impact waves around the movie industry. Even classic film franchises like Star Wars are experimenting with the technology. It's evident how serious Dolby is in disrupting the 3D space for the future of the once-called gimmick.

    Avatar = AMAZING. Saw it opening night. And the 3D tech was far beyond what I was expecting. I think it's a mix of better visual technology as well as very smart film directing on James Cameron's part to make the 3D effects feel more naturally integrated with the movie, without it being "in your face" all the time.

    Looks like 3D is becoming the hot tech of the year. Pretty much all of the buzz of CES was about 3D TV.

    Seen Avatar twice now:) It's just a beautifully made movie. I do hope they make a sequel, as I'd love to better understand the whole Navi culture. I think I know what I'm going out for Halloween this year!

    Time to start saving up if I ever want to get my hand on these 3d stuff. probably going to cost around 100000 dollars, dont u think? XD
