As much as gaming graphics have improved over the past decade, the gaming world still has yet to fully conquer the creepy, stiff hair and robotic eyes that plague our on-screen counterparts. Nvidia once again takes up the tech challenge and has demoed their most recent GF100, teasing us gamers with the impressive future of video game graphics. You'll never look at hair the same way again.
Along with several other water and anti-aliasing demos, the human hair demo was particularly jaw-dropping. With the human head averaging 100,000 hair follicles each, this video demo of the GF100's real time hair physics is mind boggling in the amount of real time computations and rendering being processed.
While I have always been one to question how much better graphics can get, Nvidia has truly pushed the limit with their newest creation. Perhaps the "uncanny valley" can be crossed after all...
