We just wrapped up a detailed comparison between the single player campaign experience for Modern Warfare 2 and Battlefield: Bad Company 2. After completing both games, we crowned MW2 as the clear winner. We now move onto the multiplayer experience. BFBC2 has stirred up some controversy as the multiplayer beta experience had been hit or miss for some people. After some hands on game playing with the final copy of the game, we can now definitely say whether DICE delivers another killer Battlefield game.[nextpage]

As I laid out yesterday, here are a couple of things you should keep in mind - I have a final reviewable copy of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and have been playing it all weekend long. I also clocked in some good hours with Modern Warfare 2 already. I have no particular beefs with

If you were to gauge internet chatter these days, you'd swear that the rivalry between Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Modern Warfare 2 was bigger than the 16-bit console wars, or the classic Celtics vs Bulls rivalry. Or even bigger than a Democrats vs Republicans showdown. People have clearly taken sides, and aren't shy about sharing their views, despite that most people haven't even played BFBC2 yet. So I went into playing BFBC2 with one clear intention - to determine if EA's game could actually be better than Activision's game. So which one came out on top when it comes down to the single player campaign?[nextpage]

Before I jump into the details, I should provide a backdrop to this comparison. I have a final copy of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and have been playing it all weekend long.

I'm always pleasantly surprised and pleased as punch when I hear celebrities share their passion for gaming. It's as if it helps validate my addiction. "See, even Robin Williams has a level 80 Night Elf!"

I never knew that Robin Williams was such a hardcore gamer. He shoots the breeze, as only he knows how, about 10 year olds cursing him out in online matches for COD. He also mentions how he named his daughter after one of the best games in history. Funny, I never made the connection til now.

It's too bad his movies these days aren't as funny as he is when he's just rambling. I'm still waiting for my Mork and Mindy reunion.

The folks at Activision must be clocking on quad-overtime, as they are putting out all their big titles in a one month span. All of these titles are making us more excited than a teenage girl caught up in the Twilight hype, so we wanted to expand our coverage for a full week!

We're starting off today with a blog about the midnight launch of Modern Warfare 2. We'll then follow up later this week with a DJ Hero expose, and gauge some feedback from real DJs. We're then heading to a Tony Hawk promo event this upcoming weekend, where we'll get to play the new wheeless skateboard and see how it holds up. We then wrap up with a playthrough of Band Hero, and help shed light on what makes it so different from the other music games out there.[nextpage]

So stay tuned to this blog as we update

I feel giddy like a kid in a candy store. There's so many good games coming out in November, that I pretty much got to call in sick every day just to get through them all. Thank god for swine flu, cause that excuse should work for at least a good 30 days.

Time to pick your favorites! You can select more than one too!

Updated Oct 19th! See updates below.

Despite all the great games coming out, Borderlands has become my No.1 must buy game for the holiday season. I would even go as far as saying that all games from now on need to consider what about Borderlands seems to have resonated with so many gamers. That’s a bold statement when you realize that I haven’t even played the game yet.

So what about Borderlands is making me rave like a converted cultist, potentially riling up legions of fanboys for Mondern Warfare 2, Halo: ODST, or Left 4 Dead 2? Quite simply: From the get go, Borderlands has been touting key features which I believe all game developers need to evaluate as part of their game design.

So while I reserve judgement whether the game will live up to expectations, there's
