I'm Samantha, but I prefer Sam. I live very close to the Bay area, (because unfortunately the bay area is still out of my price range) and I play a ton of videogames ranging from classic to modern consoles. I own an NES, a Super Nintendo, a Sega Genesis, an N64, a PS3, Xbox360, and a Wii (which practically gets no love). My favorite games are the Silent Hill Series, Bioshock, Condemned, and basically anything in the Survival Horror genre. I am currently studying Game Design at the Academy of Art university (which is also tearing a hole in my bank account, but I digress). I love to draw, paint, and play any insrtument I can get my hands on, which is mainly guitar, bass, and piano. I'm an all around creative and wacky person who just likes to have fun. :)

I use to give lectures at the Academy of Art on gaming, so that's awesome that you are studying game design. I think there are a couple of people here that want to make gaming their livelihood, so I'm hoping to get enthralled in some good gaming chatter!
I haven't played AC2 yet, but the first one took an inventive approach to the traditional play-the-protagonist mode of story telling. I'm looking forward to playing the sequel.
Yeah, I just got married in December, so I'm not exactly a veteran
Since i haven't formally introduced myself yet, here goes.
I go by JohnTheRipper, primarially for my work done on the application of the same name. I am not the creator of said application, but I have made various efforts supporting other encryption algorithms as well as perfecting the threading methods used during processing (for my own use, not publicly released). I prefer anonymity, primarially due to my line of work. I work as a SQA engineer for a defence systems corporation, and moonlight as a web-based software security consultant. I am certified in CEH and CHFI, as well as LPT.
I spend most of my time analyzing the latest 0-days, and supplementing my boredom with video games. I have been an avid gamer for most of my life, and have played almost every system readily available. When I travel, I always have my PSP3000 and NDS Lite with me. My current collection of systems include Nintendo Wii, Microsoft Xbox 360, Sony PS3, Nintendo DS, Sony PSP, NES, SNES, N64, GB, GBA, GBC, VirtualBoy, MegaDrive, PICO, Genesis, SegaCD, 32X, Nomad, Gamegear, Saturn, Dreamcast, PSX, PsOne, PS2, Xbox, Xbox360, 3D0, CDi (Goldstar), NGP, NGC, TG-16, Atari-ST, MSX, Atari 2600, Atari 5200, Lynx, Atari Jaguar & JagCD (and others I'm sure I've forgotten about)
Nice to meet you all!
Edit: I also play Bass guitar and lead vocals for my lesser-known band, which specializes in guttural, soul-crushing Black Metal
Hi, I'm Nick Swanson. I've been playing video games as long as I can remember, I currently own: A genesis, dreamcast, saturn, N64, gamecube, 360, wii, DS, gameboy, gameboy advance, ps2, and a game gear. I love to draw.
My name is Alex. My favorite color is red Favorite animal is the octopus I'm really excited to try playing Heroes of Might and Magic 3 on my family's new big screen tv I'm turning 23 on Friday. Scarily enough, 23 is the age I would always write on my character sheets in D&D when I was younger. I always assumed I would have become a mature, wise man at that age. However, I am in fact myself, just 8 years older.
I SHALL BECOME THE 23 YEAR OLD, LAWFUL GOOD PALADIN ON FRIDAY.
It's hard to think of things to say on the spot....so this shall be a work in progress

You know, if you say you like to draw, you can't end a "About me" without including a pic. It's like, against the rules, or something!

Oh yeah, that's the second rule. You can't say you are in a band, unless you include a Youtube link too!
